Position & balance
Find the right posture, relax your shoulders, stay mobile and distribute your body weight better.
WEEKEND · E-MOUNTAIN BIKE · LES CROSETS
Two days to dare to ride, not to impress. Eight workshops, an exceptional learning ground, and a mountain chalet as your base camp.
THE CONCEPT
A format designed for those who genuinely want to improve on their e-mountain bike. No stopwatch, no jumps, no extreme enduro. Just the right techniques, explained calmly, and practised on alpine trails chosen to build your confidence.
THE 8 WORKSHOPS
Eight modules to transform the way you ride. Each workshop is short, focused and immediately applicable on the trails. Four categories for well-rounded progress.
Find the right posture, relax your shoulders, stay mobile and distribute your body weight better.
Understand the front brake, the rear brake, braking distances and modulation so descents no longer feel daunting.
Gaze, line and weighting: the three keys to cornering without tension on alpine paths and tracks.
Know when to use Eco, Trail or Turbo, manage the battery and avoid surges on climbs.
Anticipate rocks, ruts and changes in grip, and choose a simple line.
Spacing, pace, communication and breaks: so everyone finds their place and enjoys the ride.
Master Komoot and Trailforks, build your own routes, read a topo map and use your GPS watch to ride independently.
Fix a puncture, reseat a chain, adjust the brakes and inflate to the right pressures. The essential skills.
THE PROGRAMME · TWO DAYS
Three complementary stages: a Friday evening welcome to get to know each other and cover the basics, then two full weekend days to experience the 8 workshops and put them into practice on the trails.
LEARNING GROUND
The Portes du Soleil area offers 800 km of trails, from peaceful alpine tracks to more committing singletracks. For each session we choose routes matched to the group’s level.
No jumps, no extreme descents: only flowing paths, outstanding panoramas and photo stops at the most beautiful spots. Genuine recreational riding, just as we like it.
↳ Areas explored: the Crosets alpine pastures, Champéry trails, Champoussin balconies and the Avoriaz plateau.
YOUR BASE CAMP
At 1,670 m altitude, right next to the trails. Every room has a balcony, a private bathroom and a view of the Dents du Midi.
The property has a secure bike room with a workshop (water point, power sockets, tools), a sauna to recover after sessions, and refined cuisine based on local Valais produce.
The ideal companion for two days of fully immersive learning.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your most common questions. Can't find your answer? Contact us — we reply within 48 h.
A recreational level of fitness is more than enough. The e-mountain bike greatly reduces the effort on climbs — that’s the whole point.
If you walk regularly, cycle a little or do moderate endurance activity, you’ll be perfectly comfortable over the two days. We always adapt the routes to the group.
Not at all. We work with trusted local rental partners offering recent, well-maintained e-mountain bikes (Specialized, Trek, Lapierre).
Just mention it in your enquiry: we’ll arrange a rental suited to your size and level, at a preferential rate. Expect around CHF 70-90/day for the rental.
Sessions are arranged on request for small groups (4-6 people), which lets us tailor the format and therefore the price.
As a guide, expect from CHF 490 per person in a shared room (see the 3 packages) for the all-inclusive weekend (accommodation, meals, guidance, Illiez Card, sauna). Bike rental not included.
To book your place, use the booking form above or contact us directly.
From age 14 for the technical workshops (with parental consent and accompanied by a responsible adult).
For younger children, we offer tailored family rides with our instructor. Contact us to discuss your request.
Sessions run from mid-May to mid-October, when the alpine trails are rideable (outside snowmelt and the first autumn snows).
Weekends are preferred, but we also arrange weekday sessions on request (Tuesday-Wednesday, for example) — perfect for groups of retirees or company teams.
Minimum lead time: 3 weeks before the session to organise the logistics properly.
Mountain weather can be unpredictable. Here’s how we handle it:
• Light rain: the session goes ahead (with a windbreaker and good clothing, it’s perfectly fine)
• Forecast storms: we adjust the timing to use the weather windows
• Storm / dangerous conditions: we reschedule to a later date at no charge
The decision is made 48 h before the session based on the MeteoSwiss forecast.
• Free cancellation up to 14 days before the session
• From 14 to 7 days before: 50% of the total
• Less than 7 days or no-show: 100%
If we cancel (extreme weather, instructor illness), you receive a full refund or rescheduling to a later date, at your choice.
We recommend personal cancellation insurance.
